Downsizing or Having an Estate Sale:
Guernsey and Associates offers a quick, cost-effective way to double-check the value of the art you plan to sell. Even experienced estate sale organizers may not always recognize quality works of art. For a small fee, Guernsey & Associates will examine your artworks and identify those which might be of higher caliber or more saleable than originally considered.
Managing Estate Appraisals:
If an estate requires appraisals of collections or items in more than one category, Guernsey and Associates can simplify the process. We contract with the appropriate specialty appraiser for each category, supervise their work and incorporate their findings into one appraisal written to the standards of USPAP, the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
Inventory:
Guernsey and Associates can provide a catalogue of your artworks and/or other collections. Photos, measurements, condition status, provenance and other pertinent data are presented together in one album with an accompanying CD.
Updated Insurance Appraisals:
If it has been more than five years since you had your scheduled items reappraised, your insurance needs could be vastly different. In the event of a claim, a recent appraisal from a professional appraiser could simplify and speed the claims process for all.
